Lauren Hiles
Lauren Hiles aka @coastalstyling_lauren is Co-Owner/Founder and Stylist at Coastal Styling Studio. She received her cosmetology training from Rudy and Kelly Academy and received her license in July 2007. She has continued her education with classes through Unite, Wella, Scruples, Keratin Complex, Brazilian Blowout, and through hair shows like Premier Orlando, and International Beauty Show in New York. She also has traveled to Dallas, Texas to attend two day hair extension training and received certification through Bellami Hair Pro in all extension methods. She is also HABIT salon extension certified in hand tied hair and beaded weft extensions. Lauren ran her own salon from 2009-2012 and closed it when she became pregnant with her second child. She is excited to have opened another business and couldn’t be happier to be sharing the experience with her business partner and fellow stylist Lydia Shaffer. Lauren specializes in color, blondes, balayage, and extensions.

Lydia Shaffer
Lydia Shaffer aka @glamstylist_lydia Is Co-Owner/Founder and Stylist at Coastal Styling Studio. Lydia received the foundation of her education at Rudy and Kelly Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2007. Upon graduating, she built a solid clientele quickly and began specializing in many types of hair extensions. Lydia trained with Unite Professional in Richmond, Virginia in 2010 as an educator. She has worked on site throughout Hampton Roads doing many weddings and photoshoots. It has been her dream to have her own salon one day and is excited to finally have one with her business partner and fellow stylist Lauren Hiles. Lydia is a JZstyles certified stylist and she specializes in color, balayage, and hair extensions.

LIndsay White
Lindsay White aka @hairbylosuffolk graduated from Regency Beauty Institute at the top of her class in 2012 and from there continued to invest in her education. She is coming to us from the Harbour View ULTA where she worked her way up to a senior stylist. She is certified in tape-in hair extensions as well as Brazilian Blowouts. She specializes in custom coloring techniques as well as haircuts.

Taylor Whitlow
Taylor Whitlow aka @tayshaircraft specializes in blonding, balayage & color correction and has taken many balayage/California foilayage/ blonding/color melting/color correction classes over the course of her career as a stylist. She also attended the Scruples Color Academy in 2017. Taylor is certified in @keratincomplex and @brazilianblowout smoothing treatments and uses the Scruples color line. ⠀

Sierra Warren
Sierra Warren aka @styledbysierra_ has been in the hair industry since 2013 and has been a licensed stylist since 2015. Sierra is certified in hair extensions and Brazilian Blowout, and has continued her education through classes with Redken and Pureology. Sierra specializes in blonding, balayage, color, and makeup.

Kristin Byers
Kristin Byers aka @coastalstylist_kb apprenticed at a salon in Norfolk, Va and became a licensed hair stylist in 2012. She has received training at the L’Oréal SoHo Academy in New York and also completed L’Oréal’s atelier program. She has been trained in Brazilian Blowout, Agave Smoothing Treatment, and taken balayage expert classes. She has traveled to different areas of the East Coast and Hampton Roads to do hair and make up for weddings and photo shoots. Kristin specializes in balayage, color, and hair for special events.

Courtney Whitford
Courtney Whitford aka @extendedstyles is stylist and National Educator for Babe Hair Extensions and travels the US teaching her craft. She is certified in Brazilian Blowout + Keratin Complex and specializes in extensions, precision cuts, and creative coloring. She is constantly furthering her education and has trained with Scruples, Joico, and taken various cutting classes. After completing an apprenticeship she became a licensed stylist in 2012 and has worked behind the chair ever since.

Jessica Forbes
Jessica Forbes aka @coloredbyjess__ received her license in 2018 through a vocational school in Suffolk, Virginia. Jessica is certified in Brazilian Blowouts and Keratin Complex smoothing treatments. She uses Pulp Riot color line and specializes in blonding, balayages, and tape-in extensions!

Alyssa Jernigan
Alyssa Jernigan aka @alyssafaith.hair is a young stylist who got a head start in her career by joining her cosmetology program at Chesapeake Career Center while she was in high school. She grew up with her grandmother, who was a hairdresser, and her mother who always brought her to all of her hair sessions. Alyssa has a deeply rooted passion for the art of hair and specializes in color, color corrections, blonding, balayages, and hair extensions.
